Hiyas,

Welcome back to the forums. I thought i'd start up a thread here to better explain what happened. The previous owner of the site was not willing to transfer the name 'gemisa.net' to me. The bill came up, was not paid, and nobody was aware until the domain all of a sudden was owned by domain parkers. These are the bastards who buy domains the moment they expire trying to get hold of domains that were accidentally lost with intent to sell them back at massive profit.

I was not willing to play that game, so I purchased a nice new short name (gemisa.net) myself and brought the forum over to here. Now all domain billing correspondence will come direct to me and I can make sure it doesnt happen again!

Please help spread the word of our new location!

Yeah, now its in my name I'll make sure it doesnt! There was nothing I could do about it, the previous owner let me host it and run it after the original system was hacked but he wouldnt sign the name over and eventually it expired out of the blue. I had no idea and just hit it on Friday like everyone else and oh shit!!!

Ahh well behind us now, and i reckon gemisa.net is better anyway (shorter). It looks like the forum has survived as ive noticed most the regulars checking it out tonight. That was the last piece of the puzzle. I did not start the forums, but now its entirely in my name, on my servers we should be good for the future (along with sister sites delcohacking.net and bellett.net).

yeah i reckon gemi-sa sounds better than just-gems-of-s-a, and im not a huge fan of bright orange either. maybe could give the place a new look.... but on the flip side gemisa has some history and some people already have it on their cars so not sure? Im open to consider it.
