So heaps of progress has been made with this car as of late. To sum it up:

Clutch = Done
Tailshaft = Done
Radiator = Done

I have a new radiator arrangement. The top inlet has been moved to the other side and both have been changed to right angled fittings. It has created heaps more clearance for the hoses. I also managed to squeeze a second fan on. If the fans don't pull enough air to keep it cool I am going to make a shroud to help direct extra air through the other parts do the radiator.

The new tailshaft is in and fits perfectly. It's a bit of a bad picture but there was only so much I could do from the floor of the shed!

I have also began to sort the interior, starting with the centre console. The new gearstick position lays directly between the two parts of the original console. This VL console seems to fit nice though. It's just a crummy console I picked up from u pull it and painted black. With some minor modifications it looks like it will work.

I got handy on the sowing machine too and made a new leather boot for the gearstick. Came up alright I think!

Looks like its going very well! That VL console looks well suited too. Good to see the project is still moving :)

I know this place is a bit of a ghost town these days, but the facebook pages are shit. So the car is on the road, and I haven't had any trouble from the cops (fingers crossed). It's all running pretty sweet now so my new focus will be getting the interior tidied up and start fixing some rusty panels. Took it out on the car cruise earlier this month too without anything going wrong. Happy days! :mrgreen:

Another belated response! Thanks mate, no unwanted attention yet! Tailshaft was $280 from memory.

HELLO?! Hello?! hello.? hello....? helo..........?

So the coupe has ran out of rego, and since I can't afford to renew it I have decided to take it off the road for a few months to fix up a few bits. Reversing lights stopped working, dash is rattling, thermo fans need to be wired up properly, passenger side door needs a door seal, brakes have developed a leak and the centre console needs to be mounted.

I'll take some pictures as I fix things up to try and keep things interesting. It would be really nice to see some more traffic back on here.

Cheers,

Mitchell

Yeah I did man. I got a tacho, speedo, and a quad gauge with volts, fuel, water temp and oil pressure. Go to the website and check them out, you can custom build your own gauges with pretty much what ever you want. 3-3/8" gauges fit straight into the stock dash holes. I'll take some pictures.
