Happy with my bit of work today. I purchased these BMW e30 discs and VL Tubo calipers of Ebay. They came off of a TD Gem.

With a bit of help with my trust agle grinder i got them to fit real nice :)

Oh and i need to put two of the studs back in hahah

Very nice. I'm about to start putting my VT brake kit on. I think I have to run 15s over them.

Hmmm, I don't suppose you got any more photos of the discs from the inside, or measurements? I don't suppose they're about the same diameter as a Gemini disc, but vented?

I will measure up for you and get some photos showing the differences.

I do know they are about 5mm larger in diameter, vented and 13s won't clear them.

Ahh yeah, 13" clear the ones on my TE, but that's because mine use a slightly spaced Gemini caliper. Mine are around the same diameter as a Gemini disc, but vented, and I have no idea what they're from!

For the benefit of others and their research i wanted to add some new photos. Because i enjoy trying to do make things work and I’m a cheap bastard.
I managed to make a speedo drive to work my existing standard cluster. I don’t want to run any aftermarket gauges because I like the 80s stuff.
Things I used:
- Nissan/ Datsun Bluebird L20 speedo sender.

- Nissan SR20det sender.

Long story short I had to grind the white gear off on a grinder coz, I could not see any other way of getting it off.
Once grinded, I then had to grind end of shaft into a “D” shape to emulate original shaft. I did the most with the emery wheel and then the rest by hand. I didn’t want to go to far.

- My modified L20 Sender.

Then simply slid it on and there you have it.

I have a L20 cable on order and have removed all my gauge end bits and pieces to make a hybrid cable. According to my calculations I should be in business.

Ok the cable arrived in the post. I modified the Datsun 510 cable with the my favorite tools:

-Hack-sore and metal file and some super glue.

Result awesomness... reads 3-5km fast (im very happy with that).

I did all this incuding the speedo drive for $35 :) and the satisfaction of doing it my self.
