its fucked..................this engine is pissing me off, for something thats done around 17000 kms it shouldnt be this much of a pain in the ass. So its running, i have it running for 10 minutes switch it off, then a massive pressure burst through the radiator blowing water everywhere...It has a brand new head gasket, the head isnt very old at all and was reconditioned, i did put some stuff in the radiator a while back to seal a slight leak in the inlet manifold whether this has displaced and lodged into a pipe creating a blockage therefore the pressure has backed up and had no where to go....

What sort of head gasket? Tried a compression test? Or you can pressure test the cooling system too..?

Just a standard one all compression is good I beleive i fixed it now...i used silver seal ithe radiator to seal a welsh plug and I think what happened was when the motor was out it dried then when i filled it up and ran it for a decent time it displaced blocking another pipe so the pressure built up behind it therefore blowing back and blowing tje blockage out....well i. Hope so I drove it and it didnt get hot so thats a good thing lol

Just returned from a great trip to Darwin where i competed in the Rejex rally which has a long history. This year we went from Mindil Beach in the heart of Darwin to Emerald Springs roughy 150km South towards Katherine. Along the way there were many Motorkhana courses set to test driver skill and light the competition. The variance in cars from the wooden wheels to a brand new WRX and Honda S2000 kept everybody happy and made for a great weekend of motorsport and bullshit. Me and my cousin drove his Te Gem, he finished 1st overall and i came in 10th out of the 38 strong field entered. Pretty stoked with that effort as i have never done events like this before and on the first course managed to beat my other cousin in his S2000 (Booyaaa for the Gemmy  ) I will try to sort out a private you tube acoount and put a few videos up from the weekend. For those wondering the gem is a standard 1600 freshly and i mean just run in on time freshly rebuilt motor with twin dellorto side draught webers. Also managed to thrash it around the Hidden Valley track while i was up there (pays to have family in high places haha) yeah knocke 145km/h before slamming the brakes before turn 1 sliding it into the apex  Good times were had by all, a great atmosphere, its like having an adopted family for a weekend didnt matter who you were or what you drove everyone took eachother for a drive and got along very well and i will be returning next year to better that title!!! Could have been a top 4 finish if i didnt make stupid errors!!!!!!!
