 Post subject: G200W vs G180W Head Gasket

Thanks to Eli, we tested this theory today. Pulled the head off his parts G180W and dropped my old G200W gasket over. It appears yes, G180W and G200W head gaskets are compatible :) Therefore the G200W MLS Gaskets currently available will suit G180W.

Update: After talking to blackcoupe about this the issue is the bore size is larger on the g200w. Thus, if you put a g200w gasket on a g180w there is a small gap around the edge of the gasket (as pictured above) which fills up with carbon and its all fine. But you cant go the other way - if you put a g180w gasket on a g200w then it will overhang the cyclinder and the pistons come up far enough that they will hit it.

g200w->g180w=OK
g180w->g200w=No Good
