Got the sr20gem out to the colingrove come n try 3 yesterday. No problems with the car, and had a great time. I had my gopro and 2 of my mates, but man they suck battery! Unfortunately one of the gopros had buggy firmware so I did not get any usable footage from it. Most the footage I got from the start of the day to be honest isnt worth watching. The car was a handful up there, and it took a few runs to get the hang of it. Heres one run from earlier in the day and my last run, which was my second best at 40.75. Best was 40.33.

Heres also some footage of the front wheel, including back to the carpark. It was quite interesting to see the suspension travel on the track.

A couple of pics from the day.

The bellett is Gav from bellett.net who drove over a week Melbourne and attended the come n try. He reports a good time, with good people and a nice casual fun attitude at the event. His times landed him about mid field which is a pretty top effort for the oldest car present and on stock engine. His best time was 44.44

This car will be at the bay to birdwood next week.

Probably 50/50 at this stage. I will try and make it but depends on some other things.

Ooops. Locked rear end.

But the car fired up when I hit the go button (its been a while!) and still sounds to mean when it revs. Work is in progress to try and get it back on the track. First step is to get tyres that actually grip - should be solved tomorrow. I have a set of Nitto NT01s ready to go on the rims. Then will obtain and install panhard to straighten the rear end up a bit, renew some crappy brake lines and fix some perished exhaust rubbers and it may be ready for the track again

I really wasnt trying to spin the tyres on the lawn, but with the locker and a corner, there wasnt much I could do about it! Should grow over real soon now anyway!

:D Nitto NT01s are on the rims. Moved them around today, feel stickyer than the previous (second hand) tyres ive owned previously. I think these are going to grip the track well.
Adjustable pan-hard rod is ordered.

Pan hard arrived and installed. Not yet calibrated.

Hope to be on the track some time this spring or summer, but car not quite ready and date not yet chosen.
