Hey guys I'm Dylan, Rather new around this neck of the woods :p
In July sometime i bought a '78 TD "Wagon" from Bridgewater for $1,500 total bomb!
It's amazing. It has rusty bits, A random metal bracket welded in one of the left hand side back windows and more than half the bolts are missing... It has it all :D
to my surprise, when i got it home i figured it out it didn't even have compliance plates...
so i started figuring out ways i could get it through regency in order to get an exemption from fitting compliance plates, had all the paper work filled out ready to take in when i decided to try and get it registered without them. (compliance plates)

Turns out you don't need compliance plates on a 78 vehicle!
got it registered on the spot, no inspection nothing, doesn't even have an engine in it.
i did however have the old rego papers which probably helped out a lot.

Just wanted to let someone know the miracle i experienced and i figured other gemini enthusiasts would be the people to tell ;)
I have big plans! but i shall try and contain them for the now as i am learning as i go haha! (in other words i have bitten off more than i can chew) :)

Nice! Plenty of guys on here have done the SR conversion so you should have plenty of info and workshop recommendations!

Ahh slowly but surely. I've been distracted because both of my dailys carked it, but in a few weeks I should be back to working on the Carrot in a hurry! I'm building the engine at the moment, and we just painted the cage a little while ago. I've settled on an ECU and also decided to do the diff conversion myself... lots of work ahead!
