Hello again

I will need to replace tatty carpet in my TE sedan. I'm keepin the exterior original arctic blue (unsure of tech name) but its a stock colour and I love it.

The interior is tan (not a huge fan) but its in really nice condition. Crack free dash and good seats SLX version. Neat headliner and since my budget is $3k to get the engine spic and span and some cancer cut out I won't have a lot of room to play with.

My question is what colour carpet is a good match. The original is a beige tan colour. Does anyone know how a black or perhaps gray would look? Anyone have pics of any examples?

Alternatively I can look at a refit of the interior but I assume its costly to re skin dashes and re trim seats. I have done door skins before in black but that's about my limit in experience.

Thanks mate yeah I know where to source the carpet I was more curious about what colour would work with tan interior.

I can opt of the same as is in now but would much rather a gray coulor and just wondering if anyone had done this and how it turned out.

Black was my initiall thought but how costly is it to re-trim a dash etc? It's in sparkling condition.

re-trimming the dash can be done, but if its in good nick I wouldnt go there. Its expensive to get a pro to do it.

Yeah I've decided it's not worth the outlay in my budget as my interior is all in really nice condition - apart from the carpet. So I'm going to try dark grey carpet. I think it will actually look alright with the tan.

There is some black in the interior - gear stick, hand break, handles etc etc so it should in theory match well..

This seems like a better allocation of funds available.
