Hi all

first off i am sorry if i have posted in the wrong place.

I have a nice TE sedan that needs work.

It runs and engine is is good Nic. However I am not skilled in engines.

I'm looking for someone to fix her up so she runs well and is reliable with the stock g161 - needs to be altered for unleaded. The dizzy seems to have issues and brakes need work. No oil leaks or smoke that I can see. It's been sitting for a while now and started occasionally.

Of course I am looking to pay for the service and the new parts required etc. I just wanted to know if anyone on here knows of a good mechanic/ business who can provide such a service. I don't want to get ripped off by just going to a random place who may very well be dodge.

I also need a small amount of cancer to be removed from 1 door and 1 guard.

If anyone knows a place or person please let me know. If not do any of you have a price guide I would be looking at to complete something like this? Any info would be helpful.

Thanks

Hi there, welcome to the foums!

Gemini engines are fine on unleaded, so you dont need to do anything there other than just fill it up and drive.

You'll likely need different places for the mechanical work and body work. What area are you in?

I'd be keen to see your car, it'd be good if you could post up a few pics in the "Gemini Showcase" area.

This is a good kit to improve the ignition system: http://www.turbogemini.com/Electronic%20Ignition.htm

X2 on the unleaded, Gemini's already have hardened valve seats.

X2 on the electronic ignition, that will eliminate many problems

- which suburb are you in? Someone may be able to help you out with minor stuff,

Thanks boys.

Ill post a few pics. I will order one of those kits as they seem pretty basic to install and who knows it might solve the problem.

I have a couple people coming to look at the small body work that needs doing and will report back with price. Hoping to get advice from people who know what work is worth.

I'm in Salisbury north.

Just wanted to say thank you for the advice.

I've ended up fixing it myself and she runs beautifully again... So far! I've found a place for the body work and looking at $1600 for that.

Thanks again for the tips. It has spurred me along to do more myself.
