Okay, I'm starting this thread because I feel that it's necessary to keep track of this stuff. After all, a lot of our inventory comes from these places these days.

Basically post up anything of relative interest that you find at U Steal It (North or South) or any wreckers in the area. Yard finds, roadside part outs, and anything else like that can be included though, but if so please post details like addresses and phone no's (of course get permission first!).
Pics are welcome but not an absolute necessity.

I'll start with my latest findings at U Pull It North (2/1/11). Some of it overlapping Eli's post from a week or two ago.

White TG Sedan: G200Z head with no cam (on G161Z block :? ) 13/14" Auscar mags, good bars, good TG taillights, perfect black TE grille, straight and rust free front guards, decent light brown carpet.

Light brown TG Sedan: G161 with auto, good bars, good TG front and rear lights, good front guards. (All I can remember atm, was definately more though)

White TX Sedan (A8B mid Pre ADR spec): Decent rear lights, G161Z (Most likely not big valve head based on period, but still pre-pollution), TX grille with one broken tab, average bars front and rear, headlights. (This one had the early header setup which I pinched along with the rear muffler which appeared to have an old sports hotdog fitted).

White N13 Pulsar hatchback: Had a set of 4x100 MK1 copies/Centrelines which would suit a gem. Strange car for them to be on though.

Red N13 ET Pulsar hatchback: Factory turbo motor without snail, still has intercooler (although a bit beaten up by the looks of it) Three 15" Auscars (I pinched the pair with decent tires) hectic sports wheel.

Also, every single RB had their dizzys gutted... which greedy SOB was that huh? :P

Hadn't checked the rodeos or van section, but when I was out there last time a few months ago there was a shuttle sitting in the back, complete with a full 4ZD1 setup. Also a Jackeroo with the same motor + 4wd gearbox. I doubt they're still there, but worth a look.

Couldn't honestly tell you what's left, but I think it was almost stripped.

I was down there yesterday. Yes, theres not much left on the TX. I scored the grille, and that damn heater valve thing ive been needing, and the rear view mirror (now that ive read here that tx are differnt, and mine is disintegrating!) but yeah its pretty minimal now. I think all the panels were still there, but most stuff from the engine bay and interior were gone.

That TC is pretty damn good though. Theres surface rust, but nothing serious, panels are pretty good, and interior is very good. I want the interior, but dont want the whole car. If anyone wants panels and wants to go in on it to wreck it give me a yell. I wonder what they'd take? Its been there a couple of weeks now.

Or, this one is very interesting. They have called it a bedford, but it appears to be an isuzu. It has an isuzu steering wheel, isuzu written on the wheel hubs, and my mate IDs the reverse lights as a bellett part. I couldnt find any more info though and after an hour of searching the net still couldnt ID it. Its got a mitsubishi diesel engine, and I gather its an unfinished conversion as its 'engine running but no tail shaft'. Would be an awesome support vehicle for anyone interested in isuzu motorsport, and who needs to tow, travel and have somewhere to sleep. Theyre asking $2k. If anyone knows what it is, please say so. its killiing me! hah. Its very likely and isuzu 1960's base.

Bulls**t! :P

I don't have that kind of money atm, and I would be strangled while I sleep if my family saw me bring something like that home.

It's certainly an oddity all right, but not something I'd go for at least at the moment.

That TC, I saw it parked in their fenced lot when it was there last, and I knew they'd have it up for sale eventually. It does look like it needs a good clean, but I honestly think someone should buy it whole and keep it complete. Even cleanish earlies are hard to find these days, and it's only to going to get harder to find them as the years go on. Not to mention it's a TC, the rarest model aside from pre ADR TXs.

I will ask, do you know if it runs and drives? I have a couple of interested parties in a car like that. I may have to let them know about this if it does.

Someone should buy the campervan :)

I dont reckon i'd be so worried about saving a tc. In order to save them we have to pull them apart to get more bits to put on ones that are most the way there. Even though you see fewer geminis on the roads these days, there are still heaps of them out there, and in sheds. Just dont waste em, make sure the good bits end up on a car or in a parts collection somewhere. Having said that, that one could be a keeper also.
